Ooooooooooze la la!
April is National Grilled Cheese Month, the most important foodie event on my calendar. And since today is rather cold and blustery, wouldn’t it be a great night for a grilled cheese sandwich and a cup of hot soup? It might be your last chance for soup weather! Of course, I keep saying that…

Funny that you mention soup – about a month ago I concocted a Pasta Fazool based on several recipes that I found. I got a craving for it yesterday and I was trying to find the source of my recipes because I don’t think I wrote it down! The soup was SOO good and even better the next day! I hope that I can remember everything that went into it because this blustery day calls for soup!
And that photo of the grilled cheese just makes me salivate! MMMMMM
OH YES!! Grilled cheese and chili, or grilled cheese and potato soup — lots of carbs. Grilled swiss on rye. Man, I’m HUNGRY!!!
With today’s surprising cold snap, I began to daydream of a grilled cheese sandwich. Kismet… or lunch? I say both.
I was having my usual “what to fix for dinner” rant running through my head, and then I saw this blog post. Problem solved. Thanks, Fridge Magnet!
Mmmmmm, veggie beef or tomato soup and grilled cheese! Exactly what I was thinking of for tonight!! Great minds think alike, Lindsey!
Put some bacon on that grilled cheese and make it a “Man sandwich”.
Dinner was veggie beef soup, and grilled cheese with two slices of cheese and a slice of tomato between the cheese slices. Talk about OOOOZ!!!! sheer cheese heaven!!
YOu guys are making me hungry….I LOVE GRILLED CHEESE!!!!!
I have spent the better part of two weeks cooking good meals for my family– Minestrone, homemade pizza, Chicken and Wild Rice, Loaded Potato soup, Grilled chicken, etc. Last night, well I got in late and had to subject them to Grilled cheese sandwiches and Campbell’s Chicken noodle soup and a side salad. My 11 year old daughter chimed in as I apologized for the dinner, “Well thank God you finally fixed something we can eat…” So much for all of the grand home cooking at my house.
You can’t get no respect, Cathy!!
