Chocolate, peanut butter and wine
I’ve got a few little info snacks in my “fridge” and I need to clear them out, so here’s something for the afternoon hunger pangs:
* Has anybody noticed the Hershey company has come out with a new product called “Drops“? I got a news release about them, and here’s how they are described:
“Now available, Hershey’s Drops are delicious bite-sized drops without the candy shell. Each drop has a light, shiny finish to protect the product so there is no mess—making them the perfect snack to enjoy and share anytime, anywhere!”
You can see here what they look like. I will not tell you what I’m thinking because I want to hear what you’re thinking.

Each week a different destination will be explored with a selection of local wines and traditional food. Guests will also learn what makes each region’s wine unique. The Palisades Restaurant is offering special discounts on the featured wines so guests can take a bottle of their favorite home. Argentina is the first featured destination on February 3, followed by the Rioja region of Spain, then South Africa and the North Coast of California. Tastings are $18.99/person and include three appetizers as well as samples of three different wines from the featured region.”

My first thought was that Hershey has come out with their version of M&M’s without the patent infringement worries.
My second thought was that I could probably pop a dozen of those at a time in my mouth, and get better chocolate coverage than with a Hershey Kiss.
My third thought is that they probably cost three times as much as Kisses and five times as much as the regular Hershey Bar. But I could be wrong about that…
They do look like M&Ms… but without the candy shell! Do they melt in your mouth AND in your hands? They look a little larger and more disc-like than M&Ms, too.
The only way to really find out is to buy a bag and test out the chocolate coverage, I reckon. Darn.
Deer droppings. First thought. Really.
With that said, I’ll probably have to bite the bullet and try them because, heck, they’re chocolate!
Has anyone tried the new Snickers candy? I have been craving it since seeing the TV commercials.
It’s your willingness to sacrifice, Lindsey, that keeps us coming back!
Take one for the team!
