Countdown to the new year in cookbook giveaways – Book 1
It’s time to begin the Fridge Magnet tradition of giving away a cookbook each weekday until the new year. Every day this week, a different cookbook will be available for someone to win.
Here are the rules:
1. Leave a comment on the blog entry to be entered to win.
2. CHECK BACK within the next couple of days to see if you won.
3. No blog reader may win more than one book.
How easy is that? Just an FYI — I will be off work and with my family on Monday and Tuesday, so I’ll announce the winners of those cookbooks when I return on Wednesday.
Today’s book is “I Love Meatballs” by Rick Rodgers. This hardback book includes recipes for all kinds of different meatballs as well as dishes you can make with meatballs. Examples: Spanish meatball tapas with sherry-garlic sauce, fried olive meatballs (crunchy on the outside with a surprise in the middle), braised Vietnamese meatballs in caramel sauce, and pork meatball sliders with pan-roasted red peppers and provolone.
Let’s start the contest… NOW!

Hi Lindsey, please enter me in the meatball cookbook contest! Thanks!
I want to win a cookbook!
I would like to have the meatball recipe book. I like pasta so very much.
I hope I win this cookbook!
Just discovered the blog and am overwhelmed with the wonderful information and recipes! Will definitely be a regular stop while surfing or checking email. Can’t wait to try the slow cooker breakfast recipes. Might have to have one on January 1st – my birthday!
I LOVE MEATBALLS cookbook looks like recipes using inexpensive cuts of meat but expensive tasting and interesting meals. A wonderful addition to any cookbook collection.
I have the feeling that my husband would go head over heels for this one. Though, knowing him, he’d be looking for recipes where he could use some of the goodies he got from Oliveto.
Happy Holidays!
We love meatballs! The tapas meatballs sound delicious!
Oh yum…meatballs! Having a mama of Italian heritage, I can say that meatballs are a hot topic in my family.
My brother and I recently had a “training session” with mom and asked her to teach us to make her meatballs. When we asked how we were to know if we’d made up the mixture properly, she leaned over and sniffed the mixing bowl and said “If it smells Italian, it’s right.”
…so, measurements might be helpful!
Oh great just what i need is a good cookbook with new recipes.never know about winning, nuthing like a little luck.
Yum! Im making meatballs this week with our leftover Xmas braciole sauce. I’d love a new recipe!

My family loves meatballs! We use them to stuff large shells and then cover with lots of sauce and cheese. Would love to have other recipes.
