Local food doc to be screened in Floyd

Mike Allen has information on his blog, Arts & Extras, about a documentary called “The Greenhorns” that will be screened at the Floyd Country Store this Saturday night.

This documentary is part of SustainFloyd’s 2012 Winter Film Series. Here’s how SustainFloyd director Mike Burton described the film:

“If you want to farm, grow your own food or buy food locally, this is the film for you. This documentary also brings up important issues, not just about young or newbie farmers, but about how to keep land in farming and create the next generation of farmers.”

This is off the subject, but I just learned that Pitt Boss on Brambelton is closed! Does anyone know any details?
