Tasty eats benefit Historic Masonic Theatre

Several restaurants on the main drag in downtown Clifton Forge hosted folks for a progressive dinner in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. The event, which benefits the Historic Masonic Theatre, also featured a live concert of Irish music at the Clifton Forge School of the Arts. The theater’s foundation occasionally hosts dinners such as this, so check that website or their Facebook page about upcoming dinners.

From the looks of the photos (above) submitted by Chuck Almarez of Fire and Light Gallery in “Clifton,” as we locals sometimes call it, the dinner was a huge success and folks had a lot of fun. Here is the schedule:

Appetizers … Jack Mason’s Tavern

Salad: Vic’s Family Restaurant

Main course: Heirlooms Cafe

Dessert: Catered by Club Car Deli at the Clifton Forge School for the Arts, with coffee from the Old Forge Coffee Co.

I hope everybody has a great weekend. Don’t forget to enter the Palisades contest by noon today. We’ll announce the winner on Monday.
