*WINNER* of the Celebrity Chef Tour contest!

We received some 80 entries for tickets to the Celebrity Chef Tour dinner at The Palisades Restaurant in Eggleston this weekend. Palisades owner Shaena Muldoon randomly chose No. 28 over the telephone, and the comment which corresponds with that number was left by blog reader Shannon, who said:

“My favorite celebrity chef is Jamie Oliver. I love that he supports improving the school lunch program in public schools, and that he promotes educating our children about healthy (and delicious) food choices.”

Shannon included a link to one of her favorite Oliver recipes, a chicken-mushroom pasta bake.

Congratulations to Shannon! I called and talked to Shannon and she was very excited about the opportunity to attend this spectacular event. Shannon lives in Forest with her husband and their three children, and she works as manager of a wine importing and distribution company. So I’m betting she could use a break and a night out for a fine meal.
