Thanks everyone for all of your comments! We've served dinner for 20 nights now to very happy guests, especially those who live in Giles county.

We have already met visitors from Maine, Illinois, Georgia, North Carolina and West Virginia so as I've always said, Pearisburg is halfway to somewhere!

Hope all of you will come visit and enjoy a great meal. Crooked Road-those items will be on the menu for a few more weeks and then Chef Mike will make some changes so come soon!

Meet Chef Mike at 1;30 on April 28 at Fork and Cork in the Chef 2 Chef Demonstrations!

Linda, if the menu is the same when I visit, I can already pick out my selections.

Strawberry Spinach Salad, Scallops or Pork Belly for the appetizer, Trout as the entree, and the Pineapple tort for dessert, as if I could even consume that much.

They all sound wonderful, and I'm not trying to rain on your parade. That is why I repeatedly said I wish you the best.

Kristen, as an FYI, the Townhouse Grill has closed. The chefs decided to move on to bigger and better things, evidently. It wasn't necessarily a lack of funding, but rather a lack of clientele and of exposure that did them in. Even though the Townhouse got a lot of exposure among the foodie world, it was still in the wilderness of everyday media. Not to mention, the local reception was nearly void. It just did not fit the region.

Pearisburg is certainly not as remote as Chilhowie, but it still is not a 'destination', just as Chilhowie proved to not be a 'destination'.

As for my support of 'The Bank'? I hope it does great. I really do. I'll visit there, but I have to preface by saying it is not a destination for me, nor an easy visit. I will visit as I am unusual in my desire to seek out great 'hidden gems' of culinary delight.

I do recognize that my interests do not align with 95+% of the general populace, though, and thus my concern.

It sounds good. Unless the chef is originally from a small town, moving from Atlanta to Pearisburg seems like quite a change.

Thanks again Lindsey for talking about us in your blog. The new look is perfect for our classic architecture. The response to the menu has been great so we look forward to your visit.

I think this is along the lines of the Townhouse Grill. It's a destination spot that you have to make a special plant to visit...probably not going to be able to make it just on local business.

Absolutely the best of luck and fortune to the new iteration there. I do question the fit of the menu in that location.

I've reviewed the menu on their website, and it looks very interesting. If it were more convenient to me, I'd certainly give it a look or three.

Here's hoping the locals can embrace the philosophy presented, as it does look promising.
