New crepe stand in Botetourt County
Cool news: There’s a little crepe stand now set up in the parking lot of Ikenberry Orchards on U.S. 220 in Botetourt County. Botetourt reporter Cathy Benson has all the details on her blog, The Botetourt View.

I stopped by there for lunch today and got a spinach and ricotta crepe and another with peanut butter and Nutella. The crepes themselves were perfectly done: light but not flimsy, cooked just long enough (not too crisp and not too moist), and easy to eat with plastic cutlery.
I was a little disappointed in the spinach and ricotta crepe – the spinach was kind of limp and waterlogged, and if it were me I’d add some green onions for a little extra kick. I was given the option of a sprinkling of paprika (which I accepted) and added ham (which I passed on). Even without the ham it was a very filling dish, and I’ve got leftovers in my fridge for tomorrow’s breakfast.
The PB-and-Nutella crepe was about as decadent as you might expect, with powdered sugar sprinkled on top and an extra swirl of Nutella for “garnish.”
Despite my disappointment in the spinach and ricotta crepe I’m looking forward to going back to try one of their egg combinations as well as another of their dessert crepes. $5 apiece is a good deal, and I wish the Le Moines much success.
Thanks for the review, Laura. Sounds tasty.
I stopped by over the weekend with my mom. I tried the ham, egg and cheese and my mom got the spinach and ricotta. We both really enjoyed our crepes. Very tasty and filling and a good deal for $5. I look forward to going back soon to try a dessert crepe!
