For home comfort style food, we all know that Cracker Barrel is open on Thanksgiving, with really reasonable prices. Bojangles actually offers ‘takeout turkeys’ that you can order to ease your cooking load. They’re $39.99, I forget the size. They’re also open on Thanksgiving, with a ‘turkey menu’ if you want ultra-casual.

I tried to check the following legendary places to see if they’re open on Thanksgiving, but didn’t get a response – The Homeplace in Catawba, Salem House in Salem of course, & the Pine Tavern over in Floyd. All serve family style one price meals, so give them a call on Thursday to see if they’re open.

If you’ve got a group of 4 or less and are budget minded, there are lots of options. Just check around a little in advance.
