Exciting news out of Botetourt County this morning: The Botetourt View reporter Cathy Benson has reported that the Daleville Town Center will be home to a new tap house and a coffee shop sometime this summer.
According to Cathy’s report, the tap house will be a version of Sharkey’s, which currently has locations in Blacksburg and Radford. Sharkey’s is well-known for its chicken wings and other bar food.
The coffee shop will be called Land of a Thousand Hills, and it will serve coffee from beans grown in Africa and other developing countries.

I think a tap house will be a great addition to the Botetourt restaurant scene. As one colleague pointed out, there aren’t a lot of restaurants on that end of the county with a focus on beer and bar cuisine. It will be interesting to see what kind of effect Land of a Thousand Hills will have on Mill Mountain Coffee & Tea, though.
Do you live near the Daleville Town Center? Can you see yourself visiting these businesses once they open?
