Special to The Roanoke Times
While I enjoy many kinds of food, there are only a few that I truly crave, and at the top of that list is Asian food. For me, it’s that balance of sweet and salty flavors that makes it irresistible.
Teriyaki Grill House on Electric Road in Roanoke offers Asian cuisine that is both flavorful and healthy. The menu features Japanese and Chinese food, with an emphasis on dishes that are grilled or steamed, made with fresh vegetables and fruit, high in protein, low in fat and MSG-free. It’s the kind of menu that lets me indulge my cravings for Asian flavors with no guilt attached.
Teriyaki Grill House opened a year ago beside Gold’s Gym. Owner Mei Chen is a mother of four who says the menu was inspired by the lack of restaurants offering healthy, affordable meals to busy families on the go.
