Hemp Bliss

No, I'm not talking about THAT! I'm talking about a new product for all you lactose-intolerant, nut-intolerant, high cholesterol having folks out there. It's called Manitoba Harvest Hemp Bliss, a line of hempmilk beverages that has just been launched in North America. Apparently, hemp foods are a growing trend in the health food industry.

Hemp Bliss apparently comes in Chocolate, Vanilla and Original flavors, and Manitoba Harvest boasts that the milk provides a natural shot of 1,200 mg of Omega-3 fatty acids, that heart-healthy stuff found in many varieties of fish. The hempmilk also has 5 grams of protein per serving and is lactose-free, soy-free, nut-free and cholesterol-free.
My favorite line from the press release is, "It has a rich and creamy mouth-feel and is cold-filtered for a smooth taste."
No word yet on whether Hemp Bliss has come to Southwest Virginia. If I find out where you can get it, I'll let you know. And if you find out first, please let ME know!
