Lindsey : →http://blogs.roanoke.com/fridgemagnet/Not lucky this time, Kimberly, but if you keep an eye on the blog, I do give away some good cookbooks now and then!
Is Elvis Stew the same vegetable beef soup recipe I ran that has ketchup and creamed corn in it? I think it has been a really popular recipe!

KimberlyHi Lindsey,
Yes, I botched the name of your vegetable soup, but it is the recipe you printed in the paper with "Elvis" in the title.
I have actually made it several times recently, always changing it a bit, and it is always so good! I use Fresh Market's "Everything Sauce" - probably botched that name, too - instead of ketchup, I think it adds some flair.
The soup I really wish I could make is Carlo's smooth and delicious Black Bean Soup. Any way you could use your persuasive jounalistic powers and coax the method out of him?
Thanks for your column and this blog. I really enjoy both!
