Rockbridge County senior Andrew Rowsey, who finished his career as the No. 2 scorer in VHSL history, has been named the Region III boys basketball player of the year.

Lord Botetourt’s Justin Goode also was a first-team pick.

Spotswood’s Bailey Williams and Heritage’s Cameron Carter were named Region girls co-players of the year.

Emily Rawlings of Northside and Emily Wampler of Lord Botetourt also were first-team picks.
