And the cross promotion keeps coming...
I love the "American Idol" press releases that come across my desk. One I received today announced the second season lineup of "American Idol" ice cream flavors by Edy's. When I went to the Edy's Web site, Melinda Doolittle and Chris Richardson (from last season) walk onto the screen and talk about the Edy's contest. Basically the peeps behind Edy's are hoping fans of the show will go out and try each of the five flavors and then vote for their favorites online. This isn't really my thing, but I do enjoy the way these releases are written.
"Ice cream lovers are urged to sample this year's hopefuls and cast a vote for their favorite flavor -- offering a scoop of Hollywood fun for the entire family." A scoop of Hollywood fun? Really?
Anyway, here are the flavors this season. I'll let you read it the way it's written in the press release. I'm just not able to top this.
"Will Cheesecake Diva command the spotlight? Or will Most Orange-inal rise to the top with its massive a-peel? Perhaps Mint Karaoke Cookie will make other flavors green with envy. But, don't rule out Cookies N Dreamz, which may sing its way into everyone's heart while chart-topping One Split Wonder offers bananas and fruit swirl accolades."
