Off to Hollywood

Let's talk about the folks who made it through.

London Weidberg is the Charleston native who helped take care of her father when he was dying of cancer. They didn't spend a lot of time on her story, which was OK with me, and her voice was decent but she won't win the competition. Her house in Charleston won't be bad to return to, though. It's fancy.

Sixteen-year-old Amy Catherine Flynn, "A.C., Amy Catherine, whatevs," got the go ahead to Hollywood, but not without a reality check from Simon: "A lot of people are going to find you annoying."

That seems like a crushing statement to make to a high school kid, but she bounced back quickly when she got a unanimous yes. Hey A.C., give up the pout already. It's annoying. Simon's right. She should not have made it over the Air Force pilot, Lyndsey Goodman. Really? She got booted just because she was nervous. Come on, judges.

I agree that Lyndsey, the air force pilot, should have made it. She has the look and she sang good. Ok, so a little nervous, but hey give her a break. Some of the people they put through didn't sing half as good as she did. Maybe they sound different in the audition rooms. Anyway, the only reason they show this part of the show is so we can see all the strange and crazy people out there who want to have their 5 minutes of fame. We all like to see these people make fools of themselves. The ones who really get me are the ones who sing absolutely terrible and their Mom is there telling the world how great her kid is. Moms...please stop encouraging them!!!!!
