Help!

I haven't seen the results show yet. I had a function I had to attend last night. (OK, I'll be honest, even though I had to attend, it wasn't tough....lots of good food and wine.) I did hear that Danny got kicked off and there were a lot of tears involved. I'm excited to watch it tonight. Post your comments! Help fill my void here. And, thanks for reading!

I did hear that the following got booted:
Danny (he was fun to watch)
Luke (snooze)
Asia'h (aww, sad)
Kady (woohoo!)

Ladies of the 80s

I watched this episode at my parents' house tonight. After a fabulous bowl of vegetable soup and a chocolate chip cookie that my dad kept eyeing, we dove right into the show.

So it was ladies night and there was some good singin' going on.

Let's run through it....

Boys of the 80s ... and Paula's long-windedness

Luke Menard sang "Wake Me Up Before You Go" and it was such a lame rendition. And he didn't hit the high notes. I think that could be the worst opener ever. I completely agree with Simon that it sucked. Flat-out. And Paula is in rare form tonight.

I'm going to put all my thoughts in one entry tonight. Hope that's OK ... keep reading...

Apparently, David does more than sing

Just read this news tidbit from Associated Press:

"'American Idol' contestant David Hernandez once entertained audiences by removing his clothes instead of singing tunes, a manager at a male strip club in Phoenix told The Associated Press."

Does anyone Twitter?

I set up Twitter instant messenger. Thought it might be fun to experiment tonight while watching the show. I'll Twitter my comments and they'll be live. But you have to subscribe to the feed by clicking here:

Just thought it might be fun to try it out. If you're not into it, cool, I'm still going to update on the blog, of course. But you should be into it. If you're on Twitter, find me at wmaxey.

How cute is this?

The other night I had the neighbor's kids help me blog about the women's performances. My two cousins, Trey and Shane, saw the blog and now they want to come over and offer feedback from the boys' point of view. How fun is that? Be on the lookout!

I'll post more comments tomorrow. My guess is it's 80s week? Hopefully someone will sing "Jessie's Girl."
