Sorry I think he's better than the Mulabay girl, Kristy Lee Cook and Syesha. I'm also really sick of the bambi-eyed, dreadlock kid. I mean come on, how many times can you sing like a whino on the street corner? This is when American Idol becomes a popularity contest instead of a talent competition. I liked David A initially, but he's losing his appeal and becoming very Mickey Mouse Club. I think it will come down to David C and Carly...

Ditto to all that. I think Chikezie shoulda made it a little longer, but I don't think he was winner material. I really didn't think Kristy Lee would make another night. But here's our (a party of four) theory: She made it again because she sang a patriotic song. And who's going to vote against a patriotic song?

Yes, David A. is DONE in my book! Especially after that last performance I really don't see how the kids like him. Oh right, they also like Hannah Montana....hmmm.

I absolutely agree with Jen (too) about David A. He is losing his luster...and fast. He is boring me to tears and I'm just not that interested in him anymore.

I think it will come down to David C, Carly, Michael Johns, David A (unfortunately) and Brooke White...in that order.

I initially thought David A. was more novelty than anything. David Cook is looking more the front runner, and I like him. He's compared to Daughtry because from now on in the show any guy who comes out and rocks will be - that said, he's better vocally than The Daughtry.

I like subway-busker-boy Jason Castro a lot. Not just because he's a local guy, but because the kid has talent and a great deal of commercial potential. I also enjoy his goofiness, his vocal tone and especially the fact he's not an already has been professional musician.

I guess writers can say what they want about Taylor Hicks, but truth is,like some said before me, singing ability sometimes is boring, but Taylor made it fun and interesting to watch. He knew how to pick a song that would appeal to America, like Kristy Lee did this week. He knew how to "Entertain" when it was his time to sing...and he did. Simon says lots of nasty things to contestants who many consider "very talented. You can say he was dumped, but the record company never said that. He wanted to do it his way, and he will, and he is. His live shows are amazing, and he's writing the new CD now. If they wanted a great mentor for the show, let Taylor show them how it's done...cause he did it! It's boring to me since he's not there!

BTW - I am amazed that you actually posted that you got your information about Taylor leaving his record company from an article that is all about the wonderfulness of Chris Daughtry. Hmmmmm - I don't think that article is going to speak about Taylor's record contract objectively. Chris was the rock God AI wanted, and he sold his soul to them to get that contract, and they will throw him away when they are done with him. I feel sorry for his wife and kids. Taylor got out while he was still alive. He's smart!

I too was very sad that Chekezie was eliminated last night. He actually reminded me of Taylor a couple of times. Chekezie even got a "you looked drunk" comment from Simon. How Taylor is that?

I don't get it with David A. I will give him kudos for being able to sing, but his ways on the stage are...BORING!!!

I think David C can take the whole shabang. But please...do not compare him to Daughtry anymore. David is my "hometown" fav. KC is rooting for ya Dave.

I also am a Taylor fan... and it does get old with everyone making snide remarks about him.
