What?? Brooke goes home?? Where does that leave this show? I hope with DC… but geez … who’s to say?

Idol just gets weirder and weirder.
Ryan began with the elephant in the room - Paula.
I guess he wanted to serve as a moral compass for America (especially when he told every 9-year-old it's too young to be kissing). He dutifully explained away Paula’s weird “look into the future” last night (the rumors aren't true), then went on to say Simon wants to hook up with her. What??
After the Q-and-A session (which I really can’t stand) with Simon’s very first girlfriend, it seems he has his heart set on this old flame – not Paula. I hope she recovers.
These are the days I wish I had TIVO.
Second – was it just me or did the opening number resemble a number from the Brady Variety Hour?
Now, I guess I didn’t pay attention earlier. I thought Neil and Natasha would be performing together.
Nevertheless, Neil really rocked it out during the instrumental with his acoustic guitar. I wondered if DC had been giving him pointers.
With elimination – they called Jason across the stage to the sofa first? I yelled, “NO WAY!” (I think I woke my kids).
My husband, a Jason fan (I think just to annoy me) returned with “WAY!” Grrrrrr…
Final two – Brooke and Syesha? I hate surprises like this.
I was just glad DC made it to the sofa safely.
Well, just when Idol was getting predictable, America goes and shakes things up. I wonder what was America thinking? Does anyone out there agree with America’s choice?
Who did you think should have gotten the boot?

Jen (too)I figured it would either be Brooke or Jason. This show does get weirder by the day. Paula's outlandish behavior is embarassing.
I'm guessing next week Syesha goes, then Jason leaving it to David and David. I'm hoping David Cook wins because I'm tired of Archuleta....

It was sad to see Brooke take it so hard, like it really shattered her dream. She did seem genuinely broken hearted.

StuI could have easily cried along with Brooke last night....but I agree, at this point it almost doesn't matter who goes home for me as long as it isn't David Cook. He is in my opinion the real American Idol this year.
David Archuleta is just weird to me, anyone else drawn comparisons between him & Clay Aiken?

Clay Aiken attracts the same type of crowd, but is much weirder. Just my humble opinion...
