No more Michael Johns??
America got it wrong voting off Michael Johns tonight! no, No, NO!!!! He is clearly better than Syesha, Jason Castro and Kristy Lee Cook. I kind of teared up on that one. At first I thought no one was getting kicked off; they tried to fool us, but then Ryan delivered the news. It made me angry. It was Syesha's time to go. He's so much better than some of the others.
That's my rant for tonight. More to come ...

Jen (too)Haven't been a huge fan of Michael, but I was absolutely floored that he got voted off. I think the judges were shocked too. Another example that the voters are not judging on ability...

Amy Hanek : →http://www.houseonthegladehill.blogspot.comMy first thoughts were, "Poor Wendy! She will be crushed!" Of course I love Michael John's as well, it was a shocker to everyone!! I think Jason Castro or Syesha could have gone. I am not a big fan of either (although Jason showed promise in his last performance).
May I offer my deepest sympathies.

Mary Sue HuntI'm so glad you do this blog. I had to miss the show last night, so needed to find out the results when I got home. I knew that the fastest way to get the info. was to go to your blog. Thanks for coming through for me. I agree that it's wrong for MJ to be the one to go. I was ready for Sayeesha (sp?) or even Brooke to go. I hate to say it, but Kristy is starting to grow on me. I wanted her to go a long time ago, but now she's starting to impress me with her pluckiness. Anyway, I wonder if the voters don't really perceived Michael as being "American"? I think he's great and hope he will find success somewhere.

Sad MJ fanOMG! This was the worst result I've ever seen. What's America thinking? I almost cried ... OK, maybe I crush on him too much. But now I don't care as much about the show. I loved that Michael could do classic rock and had such stage presence. I'm glad I voted for him. Goodbye MJ, I'll miss you!

Nona : →http://blogs.roanoke.com/thehappywag/Needless to say, I am very disappointed that my favorite, Michael Johns, got the boot last night. Think it has anything to do with being the first one to sing? It seems like the opening singer is always in the bottom three, and usually the one to go. Maybe that's just me, but it seems that way.
At least now I won't feel like such a big dork when I download his album. It seems weirdly un-cool to have Idol winners in your iPod (although I confess that I do.)
Personally, I love Jason, but I don’t think he’s an “Idol.” Wendy got it right; I think he’s more FloydFest. And I agree with Mary Sue on Kristie Lee. She’s got that underdog thing going for her right now.

LuluOk, here's how wrong America got it last night. My husband even said, as Michael was singing away his last song, "I mean, look at that a**! How could people not vote for him?"

WendyHey Mary Sue,
Thanks for your nice comment. I'm glad you keep updated on the show by reading the blog. I'll do my best to keep it as fresh as possible!

Jen D (Dallas, TX)This was horrible. Please tell me why ole' Kristy Lee Cook is still on this show? She is mediocre at best. BLEH!!!! I can't believe MJ is gone.

MamaDoggI was appalled at the way MJ was sent off - Ryan was especially cruel w/the "usually we won't have anyone go home after Idol Gives Back - but MJ is going home tonight!" - It's always pretty cheesy and drama queenish but never as cruel... just my 2 cents...

Nona : →http://blogs.roanoke.com/thehappywag/You are so right, MamaDogg. What a lousy thing to do to someone. "We spared someone last year, but this year, pal. You are outta here. Psych!"
I blame that on the producers. Very cruel.

OckhamWendy, Wendy. People don't like Carly because she is a first class phony. Her tattoos are irrelevant to the voters. Jason Castro is far better choice than her because he is a true original, a quirky naif who appeals because, although goofy, he is genuine. Trendy Irish wannabes with big record contracts apparently impress you, but not Americans as a whole. Trendy, Wendy? But, I agree that Michael was one of the top three, after the two Davids.

MichaelWhat a shock! I thought Michael was a surefire 3rd. Sorry, Wendy, but Carly just isn't liked, not because of her tats, but because she is so artificial looking, like she is acting nice, but is really sorta nasty. A publicists idea of what Americans would like.

Melissa BWendy, Wendy,Wendy - I was looking for much more sarcasm from you than I have read? I expected much ranting and raving about the hottie getting kicked off? Hmmm Yeah he can sing, but really, he was nice to look at too. And after all, isn't that what good music is about now? I mean other than Ozzie Ozbourne, most singers these days have to have it all. That's part of the package. Clay Aiken is a testimony to that....come on Wendy, lemme hear some sarcasm....I can take it. LOL
