And then there were four
Okay, who is with me on Team Syesha?
Yeah, she’s not really my favorite either, but you gotta hand it to the last, barefoot woman standing. Mercado's the scrappy, shoeless underdog now. I think she’s survived more near-eliminations now than Kristy Lee Cook.
Can she pull a musical upset and knock off one of the boys? Probably not. I predict she will be in the bottom two again this week, and will sing her last song.
I think it will be interesting to see which one of her competitors will be standing there with her in the lower half of the vote totals. It will be a real shock if it’s either of the Davids; Jason Castro would be the logical choice.
But Castro’s run on this show reminds me of the “Seinfeld” episode where Kramer takes a car off a lot for a test drive and sees how far he can get on the fumes in the tank. Castro has coasted through some rough terrain: Dolly Parton, Mariah Carey, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Neil Diamond. Can he cruise one more week?
And if Castro’s charm and luck lasts one more week, it will be revealing to see which of the ordained front runners, rocker David Cook or tween-hearthrob David Archuleta, is the less favored.
I think Archuleta, whose appeal completely escape me, has the win wrapped up. The remaining trio is simply vying for position in the field. But hey, stranger things have happened. Just ask Chris Daughtry.

LuluI don't doubt that David A. will make it to the final 2, but please, when he finds out he's safe for the next two weeks can he not act so surprised?? Like, he's the only one in the whole country who could possibly be surprised.
Syesha doesn't have it for me. No soul, no spunk.
Jason needs to stop karaoking.
David C. is the most interesting of the lot.
But at this point, I'm longing for the Blake Lewis/Jordin Sparks days. At least Blake was unusual and Jordin had spark.
