I'm okay with it too Nona, especially after watching him last night.
I really liked how he was able to joke about it. Two particular ones...."Someone told me yesterday that I shot the tambourine man" & his own, "They have to sing three songs next week, I don't know what I would have done then."
I am actually glad when someone has a sense of humor about leaving like Jason did. Pretty clearly this competition was not the most important thing in his life, which is a healthy attitude to have.
But I hate to break it to you Jason but, to have a career in music, you will have to learn more than three songs for a performance. I'm just saying.
This morning I broke the news to my husband (one of Jason's tone deaf fans) and he responded with a "NO WAY!" I, of course, returned with a happy, "WAY!"
And once again, after watching Jason's comments on the results show, Carly Smithson and Michael Johns were both thinking: "I lost out to THAT guy???"
I caught Michael and Carly on the Ellen show earlier this week. It was nice to see them out performing together, but their actual performance was "just a'ight".
If he had stayed, then I would have totally lost faith in the voting system (I'm still mourning the loss of MJ).
But I have to say that it totally looked like a relief for Jason when he found out. He was actually happy to go. Which I guess what nice to see. Then they just cut off his performance, that was hilarious.
