The Davids are safe. Anyone shocked? I didn't think so.

Who stole half of Paula's dress?

Is anyone digging the Q & A thing? It's kind of creeping me out, actually.

Maroon 5. Love those guys. Have all their CDs. Wish I could make a trip to Virginia Beach for the concert.

Bo Bice sounded much better than his post-Idol CD. Back to the Southern rock roots.

Oh, the ensemble version of Steeler's Wheel's "Reeling in the Years":

Worst. Group Sing. Ever. Period.

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Not to be a total curmudgeon, but allow me a correction, s'il vou plait: "Reeling In The Years" was a hit by Steely Dan, not as you wrote, Steeler's Wheel (sic). The band Stealer's Wheel had their only US hit in the same year, 1973, with "Stuck in the Middle With You". I suppose Steeler's Wheel would be something that a Pittsburgh football fan might have.

The Maroon 5 singer said that he was also singing the female duet part in that song, but with his high girly voice he sounded very at ease doing so. So I'll just stick to thinking of the Roanoke College basketball team as the Marooon five.

Pete, you are exactly right and I stand corrected. I am usually pretty good with music trivia, and I blew it on that one.

My only claim for absolution is that I was typing in a hurry, and the song was so horribly done I was rendered senseless. Poor excuse, but it is all I can offer.

Writing quick thoughts coherently is much harder than people realize. You're doing a swell job this week, Nona, and furthermore, thanks to an aging keyboard, I left off the "S" in "vous", so I deserve some Cowell Howls for my own spelling error. But we'll have to agree to disagree about Maroon 5...

Thanks for the kind comments, Pete, and for the respectful disagreement. To each his own taste. Some very popular bands and artists just don't do it for me, either. Nothing wrong with that, just a personal preference.

And the "Steelers" misspelling in my blog entry was also unintentional, but I laughed at the way you pointed it out. Very funny.
