Point guard Hall commits to Cavaliers

Virginia’s search for a point guard ended abruptly Sunday, when the Cavaliers took a verbal commitment from 6-foot-5 Devon Hall from Cape Henry Collegiate School in Virginia Beach.
Hall is the younger brother of Mark Hall, a 2012 Virginia football signee from Green Run High School in Virginia Beach.
Devon Hall averaged 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists as a sophomore this past season for Cape Henry Collegiate, which won the state title in Division II of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association.
Hall’s intention is to skip a grade at Cape Henry Collegiate and enroll at Virginia for the 2013-2014 season. Current UVa starting point guard Jontel Evans is on pace to complete his eligibility this coming season.
Devon Hall, whose father, Mark, is the head coach at Cape Henry Collegiate, was rated the No. 38 prospect in the 2014 class by rivals.com before reclassifying.
He already had received offers from Virginia Tech, Maryland, Florida, Georgia, Memphis and Iowa among others.
