UVa get Penn State de-commit

On the same day that he withdrew a football commitment to Penn State, wide receiver and linebacker Zach Bradshaw from Damascus, Md., said he will sign with Virginia.

Bradshaw (6-3, 205) said he would consider UVa, South Carolina and Northwestern after dropping Penn  State. However, he committed after taking an unofficial visit to UVa on Tuesday.

UVa was one of seven ACC schools among the 19 FBS programs that had made scholarship offers to Bradshaw, rated the No. 12 prospect in Maryland by 247sports.com and No. 19 by rivals.com.

Bradshaw had 35 receptions for 470 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior, when he also returned two punts for TDs. He will join another Damascus, Md., product, 2011 signee Brandon Phelps, in UVa’s program.

Bradshaw, who originally was recruited by the Cavaliers as a linebacker, is the 17th player to commit to UVa for 2013, five from Maryland.

The future just keeps getting brighter in HOOVILLE, coach London has this team headed to the top of the ACC whether tech fans can see it or not its happening

Speaking of Penn State, some members of their Board of Trustees is appealing the NCAA sanctions. Legally, they might even have a point. But I don’t care. Sometimes you just have to shut up and take the punishment. This is (or should be) one of those times.

hokie hater, no worries they aren’t paying attention. In hokies mind UVA has always lost to VPI. The “deer in the headlights” look won’t happen till they lose again to UVa, which will be sooner than later.

I agree with hokie hater, maybe sometime before the turn of the century Tech will lose A game to UVA.

though the creation of a free-agent free-for-all at Penn State is a bit much. Other players at other schools, i.e. Miami, UNC could sue for the ability to leave as they wish….

Let’s get this straight from the start. I bleed orange and maroon. That said, do I need to “Hate” the Hoos? I don’t think so. I think I’m allowed to root for both state schools 11 times a year. It’s just in that 12th where loyalties become divided. Having said that, I think UVa got it right this time, London is an outstanding coach that will bring competitiveness back to the rivalry, and they will begin to win their share of the games. That’s as it should be. It should mean something to win. So good luck to both teams this year and may the best team win in November.

Paul absolutely you can root for both, with that being said I will NEVER let me repeat that NEVER pull for the Chokies. I can’t stand them and never will I hope every week that they get demolished, but I understand why you pull for both if I was a Hokie fan I’d pull for both also at least you would be pulling for one school that is worth rooting for.
