Researcher lecture: The brain and the law
Brain researcher, author and science communicator David Eagleman will lecture on “The Brain and the Law,” tonight at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute.
Eagleman, who studies the interface of neuroscience and the law at Baylor College of Medicine, will focus his talk on questions such as: Are all brains really created equal? and Is mass incarceration the most fruitful method to deal with juveniles, people with mental illness, and those addicted to drugs?
The lecture is free and open to the public as part of the institute’s ongoing Distinguished Scholars Series.
