My husband’s job is relocating our family to New York City, so I am leaving The Roanoke Times. My last day is today.

Laurence Hammack will be taking over the health care coverage for The Roanoke Times, including writing for this blog. As many of you already know, Laurence is a talented and dedicated journalist, and I know he will bring compassion, insight and a critical eye to the role. I’m leaving my work in Roanoke with mixed emotions. While I am excited for the opportunities and adventures that await us in New York, I am still deeply invested in my work here in Roanoke.
