As the Craig County school nurse, Trena Boudreaux failed to report the rape of a student, state regulators allege.
Boudreaux, a registered nurse, did not report the incident to school officials, county officials or the student’s parents, according to a notice from the Virginia Board of Nursing.
The notice of a hearing on the disciplinary charge states that Boudreaux may have “neglected the health and well-being of the student.”
No details about the date, place or other circumstances of the rape are included in the notice.
County school superintendent Kelly Wilmore said Boudreaux is no longer employed by the school system.
As for the details, “our situation with our former nurse is a human resources matter, and I am unable to comment,” he wrote in an email.
