Free dental work for low-income adults will be available next weekend at the Roanoke Civic Center.
But to take advantage of the Roanoke Mission of Mercy Project on Sept. 13 and 14, participants must pick up an advance ticket this Saturday.
Starting at 10 a.m., tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis in the Advance Auto Parts parking lot at Crossroads Mall.
Organizers are advising people to get there early, as all of the tickets have been distributed in under an hour for past events.
Now in its sixth year, the free dental clinic seeks to meet the needs of low-income and uninsured adults. Organizers say that more than $4 million in care has been provided to about 5,000 people so far.
The project relies on volunteer dentists, who use portable equipment to conduct cleanings, X-rays, fillings and some oral surgery.
