Following a national search, LewisGale Regional Health System has found a new president, who will also lead its flagship hospital in Salem.
Jon Bartlett, a hospital administrator who has previously worked in Arizona, was named market president of the health care system and CEO of LewisGale Medical Center, the health system announced Monday.
Bartlett, who fills a vacancy created by former top executive Victor Giovanetti’s move to Nashville, Tenn., will start work Oct. 31.
“Jon has outstanding credentials as a hospital administrator and a health system leader,” Margaret Lewis and Denise King said in a joint statement. “His experience translates perfectly to LewisGale and will allow us to continue our work in providing high-value, high-quality health care during a time of great change in the industry.”
Lewis is president of HCA’s Richmond -based Capital Division and senior executive of HCA Virginia Health System. King is chairwoman of LewisGale Medical Center’s board of trustees.
