Clinton to speak Sunday; Obama, Huckabee visit Roanoke on Monday

The time of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s appearance in Roanoke has been pushed back a half-hour. The New York senator will appear at Roanoke’s Patrick Henry High School at 5 p.m. Sunday. Doors will open at 4 p.m. The event is open to the public and no tickets are required. The school is 2102 Grandin Road S.W.
Illinois Sen. Barack Obama will speak at the Jefferson Center in Roanoke on Monday at 7 a.m. Tickets are required for the event. The tickets are free and can be picked up at the Obama headquarters at 110 Kirk Ave. in downtown Roanoke after 12 p.m. on Sunday. There is a two-ticket per person limit.
Meanwhile, one of the Republican primary contenders will stop in Roanoke on Monday. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will hold a rally at 7:15 p.m. after making stops earlier in the day in Richmond, Virginia Beach, and Weyers Cave. The location has not yet been announced. Arizona Sen. John McCain is making an appearance Monday in Richmond.
