Police release composite sketch of 'person of interest' in Ferrum College lockdown

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has released a composite sketch associated with Tuesday’s morning’s incident at Ferrum College. The individual, whom the Sheriff’s Office presently considers a ‘person of interest’, has been described as a white male, 20 to 25 years of age, standing roughly 6-feet tall, with a muscular build and medium-length hair that is brown or black in color.
The individual was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and blue jeans in the foyer area of Bassett Hall on the Ferrum College campus between 7:25 – 7:30 a.m. on February 26. Anyone with information that may be helpful toward further identification of this individual is asked to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at 540-483-3000.
A press conference has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at The Franklin Center, located in downtown Rocky Mount.
