U.S. 221 closed in Floyd

A power pole is down across U.S. 221 north and south in Floyd County, blocking all lanes, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The pole is between Daniels Run Road and Bear Ridge Road, about 22 miles south of Roanoke. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes. Expect delays.
