So a guy is open carrying a weapon in a holster, which IS legal in Virginia to do on a campus, and everyone goes nuts. Criminals DO NOT go around carrying their weapon in the open "and" in a holster. Think it through, I can understand peoples' apprehension, but let's not get hysterical every time someone sees a gun.
Actually, John, firearms are banned from Ferrum's campus. I applaud the Ferrum faculty & staff, and the authorities for every precaution they took yesterday. Better to have a campus shut down and people inconvenienced than to have even one innocent life taken needlessly.
You need to check your resources because NO guns are allowed on college campuses in Virginia. Whether they are concealed or in the open, they are prohibited on college campuses. Good try though...
