The ceremony concludes

First the mournful melody of "Taps" rose over the memorial, followed by the deep, echoing sounds of a choir. More silence follows.

The ceremony is concluded.

"Let's Go, Hokies!" The crowd, led by a lone, male voice begins the familiar chant, echoing last year's convocation.

Just as I got on line, Gosh Brogran's "You raise me up" came on and as I go by "signs" I knew this was for Hokies and families and our departed spirits, and I cried. Last year on April 15 I was in Blacksburg to be officialy entered into the SGI, Nicherian Buddhist, faith. On Monday I was out when I heard about the shootings, and as my eldest son Travis graduated there in 06, and his wife to be is at Radford I made some calls. And then I began to think. As a former patient in the D- mental health system, I knew there were cracks, and I was praying for a way to bring this to light, but certainly not as 4-16 manifested. I made an even more ardent pledge to heal, and I am proud to say I am off all medication, and know why I went that route to begin with. My job now is to help educate others, children anyone who wants to heal. I understand everone's part, a "gift" I have, and just know amongst this damage this anger comes the chance to grow, and where there is anger there follows an Ocean of Love. Forgive... Live Laugh and Love Peace Dona
