Republican Senate candidate Donner raises $206,000
Today’s story on the fundraising totals of Virginia’s U.S. Senate candidates omitted some of the Republicans who are battling George Allen, a former governor and senator, for the GOP nomination.
In addition to tea party activist Jamie Radtke, the candidates are Northern Virginia television production company owner Tim Donner, Bishop E.W. Jackson of Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach lawyer David McCormick.
Donner, who entered the race in May, reported a fundraising total of $206,000 for the period ending June 30, according to information his campaign provided today. That total includes $91,000 in individual contributions, with the rest coming from Donner himself.
Tomorrow is the deadline for candidates to file second-quarter fundraising totals with the Federal Election Commission.
