Since the NRA spends an inordinate amount of time and energy promising that Obama and the Dems are “gonna take your guns”. This is to be expected. The NRA is pretty much a prostitute who pays you. Nothing more.

Dave, you are wrong. The NRA has advocated for back-ground checks, unlike the radical extremists in the “Gun Owners of America.” According to you, Mark Warner’s efforts to protect American’s gun rights in his term as Governor and the NRA’s tacit support for him was not helpful for his Senate landslide in 2008 (when in fact, it helped him as the first Democrat to sweep all of Southwest Virginia since Chuck Robb in 1988).

NRA endorsements mean nothing. True second amendment right advocates know that endorsements from the NRA mean you have been bought and paid for. The NRA is not about rights; it is about money. Big difference. Let’s see if the VCDL would endorse him, then it will be something worth talking about.

And this is news? Surprise! Surprise! The NRA would endorse a head of cabbage as long as it would vote for unlimited rights to own any waepons that the gun lobby wants to sell.
