Kaine issues statement on UVA decision to reinstate Sullivan

As you’ve likely heard, the University of Virginia Board of Visitors voted today to reinstate President Teresa Sullivan, who earlier had resigned after being told the board had the votes to oust her.

Democratic Senate candidate Tim Kaine issued this statement:

“I am heartened by today’s unanimous decision by the Board of Visitors to reinstate President Sullivan. I am confident that the University of Virginia will emerge stronger than ever and continue to move forward as an exemplary educational institution critical to the future of our Commonwealth.”
