Romney ad combats Obama outsourcing attacks
On the eve of President Barack Obama’s Virginia campaign swing, Republican challenger Mitt Romney is going on the air with a new television ad pushing back at Obama’s outsourcing attacks.
“Even though fact check after fact check have found his claims to be false, he continues to mislead the American people,” the Romney campaign says in a news release accompanying the release of the ad. “It is no wonder why our country has lost confidence in his leadership.”
Meanwhile, Obama’s campaign is calling attention to a story in the morning’s Boston Globe which indicates that Romney remained at the helm of the private equity form Bain Capital until 2002, three years beyond the date his campaign said he stepped away to head the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.
