I was there to protest Obama. It was my first protest and a learning experience for me. What stood out were the following:
1. All ages were protesting but it was the young who were trying to engage the other side via an intellectual discussion. They knew their history, they spoke on many topics but especially the financial cliff we are currently on. They were trying to reason, trying to have a conversation. Everyone I spoke with is frightened, they see our freedom being eroded, our debt out of control, and an abysmal future for our children and grandchildren.
2. The Obama side – yelling, screaming, shoving their rear ends and middle fingers at us, dancing and prancing, cursing and dismissing anything logical. Their only mantra was “4 more years”. I don’t think they know what he has done to this country. I don’t think they understand the value of the constitution. It was a sad display, one that would make a good ad for Romney.
3. There were also the more refined who rolled their eyes as they rushed to their cars as if we were dangerous. I guess it is easier than considering their ideology may be faulty.
4. The police were out in mass and oddly all positioned on our side of the road. We were a much smaller and less aggressive group than the other side so I found that to be quite odd…much like everything else in the times we are living.

The way I was told, was just the way it happened and it holds water just fine. You are trying to tell me that the group of people that watched it, that came and told me how they laughed, did not happen. Man, that is kind of weird.

By the way, I DID NOT watch him and WILL NOT watch the video. I don’t like reruns of the same old, same old nothing from him.

#108 Take a deep breath and try to make sense, bohica. YOU said the prez didn’t know the difference between the two words, while it is quite plain he did know the difference, he just slipped and then caught it immediately. He said, “The paralegals will be coming…uh, the paralegals, you don’t need lawyers…the paramedics…” He changed before anybody laughed and they laughed when he joked about it. Watch the video if you want to actually get it straight, bohica.

But at least you did admit that your version of it doesn’t really hold water — “Where in the world did I say fact?”

gdad, you really are confused. The person that told me WAS laughing and they got it right and said the exact words. The prez said the two words.
Good Grief, can’t you people read. THEY were laughing AT him.
And furthermore, the prez. doesn’t even know what comes out of his mouth, until people laugh.
Where in the world did I say fact? Don’t even try and twist my words, you will not get anywhere or away with it.

#105 In fact, other rick, I would not have called either one of them an idiot given the exact same situation — they make a mistake that they immediately correct and then joke about at their own expense. I did laugh at Bush when he made up words that he obviously had no idea didn’t exist, and I did laugh at Palin when she showed her complete lack of knowledge about numerous subjects. Totally different.

Besides, you apparently failed to notice that “somebody” “told” bohica about this incident and got it wrong, and then bohica tried to pass it off as some sort of fact.

First bohica, you should probably spell his name right. Second, a quick look at the tape shows the he DOES know the difference. He misspoke and said paralegals and IMMEDIATELY corrected to paramedics. And people did laugh with him because he good-naturedly turned it into a joke.

Pretty desperate if this is all you have. Sad, sad, sad.
