Jon Stewart wades into flap over Obama’s Roanoke speech

For the second night in a row, “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” had fun with the brouhaha over President Barack Obama’s July 13 campaign speech in Roanoke.  A speech, Stewart joked, “made in, apparently, a comedy club of hecklers.”

The two clips here led off Wednesday night’s show. Stewart obviously isn’t buying Republicans’ interpretation of Obama’s “you didn’t build that” remark.

@1 – Gotta agree with that. Including them driving Facebook with the “correcting” as well, using a very pro-Obama cover photo from his speech, and of course an editorial board that leans left, it’s becoming quite clear where their priorities lie at the RT. It’s about as bad as Fox and MSNBC.

We need some balance here. No business is an island.

It take infrastructure, a client base, an education, loans, and/or other misc. support to build a business.

Unfortunately some, not all, who get rich off of their businesses loose touch with what it took beyond their efforts. Maybe that is why some of them think they don’t need to pay their fair share of taxes. They think they made that money alone.

Try it on your own, and see what happens…. nothing.

My new T-shirt: No Business is an island.

Wait till a nice fat pothole opens in the road in front of some business…watch them scream for the city to fix it.

This entire “issue” is made up.

Doto, I find many things “unbelievable”.

But Mitt Rmoney says he’ll restore “anglo-saxon values” to our relationship with Great Britain! Give that man a crowbar to pry his foot from his mouth before he embarrasses us even more.

1.Where is the outrage from the main stream media on this one! Liberal media calls Tea Party members racist without one shred of quotable evidence yet they give this racist SENATOR a pass. Of course I know she’ll be back pedaling the way the President did after he accidently revealed his heart here in Roanoke. Can you imagine if a Republican would have said this?

    And I quote
SENATOR LUCAS: “What I am saying to you is Mitt Romney, he’s speaking to a segment of the population, who does not like to see people other than a White man in a White House or any other elected position.

Let’s be real clear about it… let’s be real clear Mitt Romney is speaking to a group of people out there who don’t like folks like Barack Obama in any elected or leadership position. We know what’s going on here and some people may be afraid to say it but I am not. I am not afraid to say it.

He’s speaking to that fringe out there who do not want to see anybody other than a white person in a leadership position. Senator Miller said it before she died and I agreed with her. They don’t want President Barack Obama in office as President and for all the reasons that you and I and alot of other people understand.

HOST: Do you really believe now that this all about race?

LUCAS: “I absolutely believe it’s all about race and for the first time I’ve convinced my children finally that racism is alive and well”.

    HOST: Even in Virginia?

LUCAS: “In Virginia how about all across this nation. And especially in Virginia”!
Where are you Mr. “let’s bring civility back into politics” President.
    She should be impeached!

Thanks JDoto & UptheRiver for answering Jon Stewart’s question ~ yes you are that stupid! Even when you’re shown how wrong Faux News is, you stick with their argument! You two take idiotcracy to a whole new level ~ smh.
