Biden tells Danville crowd: “We can win North Carolina again”
Vice President Joe Biden was in Danville this morning to kick off a two-day campaign swing in Southside and Southwest Virginia.
That’s Virginia. Not the state that Biden mentioned at the end of his speech this morning at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research in Danville.
“With you, we can win North Carolina again!” Biden bellowed at the end of his speech. “And if we do, we win the election again if we win you.”
As you might expect, the Republican rapid response team was quick to get the video of Biden’s gaffe out there for all to see. Could it be that Biden’s teleprompter had the same speech he delivered on the campaign trail yesterday, when he actually was in North Carolina?
Here’s betting Biden has his geography correct when he gets to Wytheville for the second leg of his Virginia trip this afternoon.

I must have missed the thread on that one, Mike.
I like all the cheering and applause at this comment. Must have been the same crowd as the Roanoke Obama event blindly supporting anything put out by Obama/Biden regardless of what’s being said.

I am a Democrat, so assuredly the Tea Party will ignore what I’m about to say, but I worked in Danville while living in North Carolina (I’m from Roanoke originally) for several years. It’s very easy to forget you are in Virginia when you are in Danville. It’s the one zip code in Virginia where there are as many ‘Heels hats as Hokies hats.
I think it is hilarious, wonder if he knows his name?
