Move On will protest at Ryan appearance in Roanoke County

The liberal group Move On advises it will be staging a protest at the Paul Ryan campaign appearance in Roanoke County on Wednesday, attempting to tie the GOP vice presidential candidate to the comments that the Republican candidate for the Senate in Missouri made about “legitimate rape.”

Here’s a release with details on what Move On plans:

MoveOn Members to Hold Rep. Paul Ryan Accountable for His Attempt to Redefine Rape
As He Visits Virginia in Midst of ‘Legitimate Rape’ Firestorm

MoveOn Members Will Hold Signs Outside Ryan Event that Say ‘Romney-Ryan:
‘Wrong for Women’ and ‘Ryan=Akin’
Ryan Joined Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO)—Now At Center of ‘Legitimate Rape’ Controversy
—As Original Co-Sponsor of Bill That Narrowed Definition of Rape
Roanoke, VA. – As Republican vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) campaigns in Virginia tomorrow, he will be greeted by MoveOn.org Political Action members who are outraged by his extreme positions that threaten women’s health, including the fact that Ryan joined Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) last year in co-sponsoring a bill that sought to redefine rape and withhold medical treatment from rape survivors.
Ryan and Akin were among a handful of original co-sponsors of last year’s “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act,” which coined the term “forcible rape” as it sought to restrict the number of raped women who would have access to Medicaid coverage for abortions. Victims of statutory rape, such as a 13-year-old girl impregnated by a 30-year-old man, would be denied coverage under the bill, as would some victims of incest.
Akin, now the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Missouri, sparked off a national firestorm this weekend when he claimed during a TV interview that only some rapes are “legitimate” and that a woman who is a victim of “legitimate rape” is not likely to get pregnant—a patently false myth that has been debunked by medical experts.

Let’s see. Moveon was created to ask for America to “move on” because Bill Clinton messed up and we need to get back to the business of the country.

So why does Moveon want us to move on now?

Just another bunch of rag-tag liberals, who are out for anyone and everyone except the mainstream of America. Why would anyone bother to give this group the time of day? They are meaningless…….let them protest like the idiots they are!

Moveon has become the never-ending leftwing “rent a mob”…ready to protest anything that is positive, conservative or Republican.
