With today’s Republican National Convention business scrapped, there’s much cable television time to be filled and plenty of elected officials in Tampa who are willing to oblige. Here’s Gov. Bob McDonnell appearing this afternoon on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” discussing whether the GOP is a sufficiently inclusive party. Among other things, he was asked to respond to the firestorm surrounding Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin’s widely condemned comments about abortion and rape.
“That doesn’t affect the overall party or the overall message of Mitt Romney,” McDonnell said. “He’s been very clear that this race is about getting our country out of debt, back to work.”
McDonnell also is scheduled to appear on PBS’ “NewsHour” program tonight, and has interviews lines up with CNBC’s “The Kudlow Report” at 7:15 p.m. and with CNN’s John King at 10:30 p.m. McDonnell is part of the GOP’s roster of speakers for Tuesday night’s convention program.

Concerning the ECONOMY, everthing that is supposed to be UP, is DOWN…Everything that is supposed to be DOWN, is UP….Great job for our Country, obama…Economy STINKS !
Dodo, I don’t suppose you’re familiar with the Dow.
Yeah, cause nothing “stinks” in Virginia where the TP/GOP rules. In fact, there is no Republican led state in any bad way. They should just be allowed to run the world, because nothing bad ever happens on their watch and they fix every problem.
They even wear white hats.
Hmmm… you voice your opinion in an RT blog that you feel the economy stinks, and you get called a ‘dodo’.
Civility at its finest on the BRC blog!
Your sudden interest in civility is truly stunning Marked Man.
Thanks, Sandi. Some people just choose to grow up.
