Mailwatch: George Allen appears as “Gilligan” in third-party mailing

Earlier, we pointed out a particularly eye-catching anti-Obama mailing, which depicts Obama as a steely-eyed train conductor (although technically it should be an engineer, right?) running down a little girl on the tracks.

Now, here’s another piece of photo manipulation from the other side. This mailing from the League of Conservation Voters depicts George Allen, the Republican candidate for Senate, as the happy-go-lucky Gilligan of “Gilligan’s Island.”

Flip it over, and the message is about . . . the economy. “George Allen: Shipwrecking our economy, deserting American workers,” it reads.

Then, in smaller type, it riffs on the old TV theme song:

“Just sit right back and you’ll hear the tale
A tale of some fateful votes
George Allen cast to ship our jobs
On some overseas-bound boats.”

What all this has to do with conservation, we’re not sure.

allen doesn’t care, just like romney and ryan, all they want is to grab all the money from the American people, he should look at his own problems, he lost to webb 4 tears ago, so what makes him think he can run again and wi! no way allen you are all about money just like romney and ryan, forget it we Virginas are through with you and wish you would move in with romney!

Wouldn`t be funny if itwere actually true…Obama has thrown away 2 million jobs to other countries !! Along another line, Florida has 38% Republicans and 40% Democrats…The Washington Post has the Democrats out-polled by 6 points and yet the LIBERAL MEDIA will have you believe obama is dominating the election….A CNN/ORC poll from Sept 10 massively under-samples independents while it over-samples Democratic voters. With all the skewed polls and cheating by the left, thier ideas for this Country must be VERY UNPOPULAR.

I always thought he resembled Howdy Doody more….

Allen would be better than Kaine. Ask the Haysom family. What about all the money that was left in highway projects while HE was seeking more funding thru higher taxes? He wanted more when he hadn’t even accounted fro what was spent. That’s typical of Kaine, and how he would handle it.

Wayne and Jeff, you might want to start proofreading your posts. It would at least give them the apperance of credibility.

What an offensive mailer! A+ for creativity, F for civility. Shame on them.

Hey Rodent…If it is pertaining to the lack of Capitalization of your Messiah`s name..Well, you know the rest.

#6 Tad sensitive there, Dolto? Rodant criticized a poster from each “side.”

Jeff,if you notice I also called out Wayne, an obvious Democrat. Actually, you also had an incorrect spelling(thier) and run together words (ifthere). If you present your opinions in a lazy minded fashion people might well suspect you form them the same way. Of course, we now know you jump to conclusions as my comment was apolitical.

  9. Sandi Saunders | September 30, 2012 at 8:53 pm

Yes Jeff Doto, it is your failure to respect the President that is the problem with your tortured post. How astute of you.

  10. Art Hill | September 30, 2012 at 9:42 pm

    @2

Yes, the polls must be skewed! Our candidate couldn’t possibly be a soulless, starched shirt who doesn’t care about 47% of his countrymen! God bless half of America!!

Have you seen this short video?

When Obama says Romney/Ryan wants to cut Medicare remember this video………..

Watch this short 2 minute video and pass it on to all the seniors you know. Medicare Advantage cuts begin in mid-October of this year. Seniors vote, and they need to know this cut is coming before the election. Time is running out for seniors unaware of this.

#11 Larry H, either Medicare benefits are going to have to be cut or taxes are going to have to be raised or both. No matter who is elected. That’s just the plain truth.

Come now, people, this isn’t English class. We don’t take off points here for grammar and misspellings. We’ve been known to make a few typos overselves.

Apologies, Dwayne. I did not mean to stoop down to Rodant’s level. I was simply trying to show him/her that while he/she was pointing out others’ supposed lack of intellect by their misspellings, he/she was making the same mistakes himself/herself.
