U.S. Senate candidate Tim Kaine and Anthony Flaccavento, the Democratic challenger in the 9th Congressional District, are scheduled to attend the Montgomery County Democratic Committee Fall Dinner Saturday night in Blacksburg, wrapping up a busy day of Democratic campaigning in Southwest Virginia.

State party chairman Brian Moran and former Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe, a likely candidate for governor, also are scheduled to attend the 7 p.m. event at the Holiday Inn University on Price Fork Road, according to the state Democratic Party.

Moran and McAuliffe also will campaign with Flaccavento in Radford on Saturday afternoon. And Kaine will join the three Democrats at the annual United Mine Workers of America fish fry in Castlewood earlier on Saturday afternoon.
