Updated: Both presidential tickets coming back to Virginia
Virginia remains a must-visit destination for both presidential tickets in the final two weeks of the campaign. Here’s a quick summary of the activity happening around the state in the next few days.
On Thursday afternoon, President Barack Obama will hold a rally in Richmond during a two-day blitz of battleground states. The event will take place in Richmond’s Byrd Park.
Also on Thursday, Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will be in Bristol. The noon rally will take place at Universal Fibers on Industrial Park Road. Ryan will campaign in Charlottesville later in the afternoon.
Vice President Joe Biden will be in the state on Saturday, but Obama’s campaign has not announced where Biden will speak.
GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney make three stops in Virginia on Sunday. He will hold a noon rally in Prince William County, a late-afternoon event at the University of Richmond and an evening event in Virginia Beach.
