Video of Virgil Goode in the third-party presidential debate
If you missed the third-party presidential debate on Tuesday featuring former Rocky Mount congressman Virgil Goode — now the Constitution Party candidate for president — here’s a replay on C-Span.
Larry King moderated the debate, which included Goode, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, Green Party candidate Jill Stein, and Justice Party candidate Rocky Anderson.
Here’s an account of the debate on Slate, which refers to Goode as an “old-school Virginia conservative.”
The Washington Post has a good summary of the debate here.
And this piece on PolicyMic declared the Libertarian candidate the winner, but had praise for Goode, as well.

It’s criminal that anyone without a D or R beside their name are relegated to second class citizen status and deemed unworthy of being taken seriously enough to debate alongside the D and R candidates.
Exactly who makes the decision that only the D and R candidates get the national spotlight to debate and that no other party is allowed to take part?
Forget third party, I just wish we had a second party because Democrats and Republicans are basically just one party anyway.
Thanks Dwayne! That was almost as entertaining as watching Saturday Night Live!
@2 – totally agree with you there!
Larry nailed it.
Proud of Virgil Goode! When you loose this race you need to run for the House of Rep.! The Constitution party has so much to offer Virginia.
