McDonnell votes in Richmond

Gov. Bob McDonnell and his wife Maureen cast their election ballots this morning at Richmond’s Main Library.  The McDonnells waited in line and chatted with other voters before casting their ballots. Here are some photos sent along by Michaele White, the governor’s photographer.

    Wow! No way Romney wins Virginia if all the Republicans are voting for McCain…. Or is this just a Roanoke Times staffer who is dumber than a bag o’ hammers?

    No, you are indeed confused…the “McCain” figures are from the 2008 election, to show who won each precinct back then.

    @1 Confused:

    I’m guessing you’re looking at Dwayne’s analysis post on 10 a.m. turnout figures in the city?

    He’s using results from the 2008 McCain/Obama election to generalize whether those precincts tend to vote Republican or Democratic. That makes the turnout figures a little more meaningful, though it’s really all speculation until the polls close at 7 p.m. and we start to get the 2012 results.

    Ha! You’re right. Looks like I am the dumb one for skimming the article too quickly AND posting on the wrong article….
