We notice that Botetourt County’s numbers aren’t up yet on the State Board of Elections site. But we have them, and here they are:

PRESIDENT:
Romney 12,471
Obama 5,449

SENATE
Allen 12,245
Kaine 5,898

Romney margin of 7,022 there is markedly ahead of the 5,778 margin that McCain took there in 2008.

This fits a pattern we’ve seen tonight, of Romney running ahead, sometimes well ahead, of McCain’s margins in predominately white rural areas in the state.

The question: Will that margin withstand Obama’s margins in more urban parts of the state?

We’ll see.
